Fairy tale magic meets real history in a crossplay co-op platformer. Built by a solo developer with Unreal Engine 5.
Coins Catcher: Co-op Lands is a crossplay co-op platformer inspired by the Brothers Grimm fairy tale The Seven Ravens. You play as a tiny 10cm adventurer traveling through magical portals into giant historical dioramas.
Each diorama is a detailed recreation of a real historical era, from the colorful houses of Riomaggiore, Italy in 1956 to the ancient Library of Alexandria in 300 BC. Your goal: face the giant cursed beast of each diorama, climb its tower to the Magic Gem at the top, and ultimately break the curse that imprisons the princess.
Every journey begins in the Forest Hub, a sacred alder grove that serves as the social hub of Coins Catcher. This is where players gather, form groups, and choose which portal to enter. The Forest Hub is not a menu or a loading screen. It is a living space, a forest of giant mushrooms and luminous butterflies where up to 8 players meet before venturing into the eras.
Up to 8 players join the same world. You explore dioramas collecting coins, spend them in the game on upgrades like jump height, run speed and spell power, and defeat the enemies and the giant beast of each era. When the group collects 100 coins, a race begins. The player who collected the most gets a head start to reach the round gem first.
Play on Android, PC (Steam), iOS, or VR, all together in the same match with voice chat. That is crossplay co-op across every major platform.
A co-op platformer where real history meets fairy tale magic. Every era is a handcrafted diorama filled with real historical curiosities, hidden signs that read like a tour guide written for adventurers. Every coin you catch buys upgrades and opens the next eras, and the crossplay architecture means your friends can join from any device.
To the web community: thank you for sharing so many quality assets freely. Most of them took a lot of work to rebuild, lighten and retexture before they could run on mobile and VR, yet they gave this game its structural and visual starting point. Coins Catcher stands a little taller because of you.
